On December 15th, The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens will be hosting the second of two workshops on floral arranging under the guidance of instructor Ann Evans.
Evans is the brain behind Cypress, a local company that offers several services related to creative floral design including flower deliveries, flowers for weddings and special events, as well as custom arrangements. Cypress even goes as far as suggesting lighting and linens to compliment the flower selections for your event.
Ann Evans first came to event planning during her time in New York and later became interested in custom floral design while living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Using carefully selected flowers to create unique arrangements, Ann discovered a connection to the events industry she was passionate about.
For her workshops at The Museum, Evans will host two afternoon flower arranging sessions. Each workshop will include all arrangement supplies, discussions on selecting the right flowers, and proper stem cutting, as well as handy tricks and expert advice. Each student will take home the masterpiece they create.
The workshop will be held on Sunday, December 15th from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The price for a single workshop is $90 for Cummer Members, $100 for Non-members, and $45 for Active Docents. For further information please call 904.355.0630 or e-mail jthomas@cummer.org
