The brainchild of Jefree Shalev, Our Shared Past is an exhibition he has guest curated using still images from his family’s collection of 8mm films.  After recently rediscovering these moving pictures, Jefree enlisted over 30 local artists to interpret an image that they felt a connection with.  All of these pieces will be unveiled during a special opening TODAY – Tuesday, December 17th from 5 to 9 p.m.  The opening will take place in our beautiful Stein Gallery, overlooking the St. Johns River, and we will have a cash bar and live music by the adorable duo, Plumb Honey, in the Loggia.

We are anticipating this event to have a big turnout and highly suggest reservations for those of you planning on dining in The Cafe with us! You may reserve your table by calling 904.899.6022. The food is oh-so-delicious!  Plus, there will be live music with Lisa Kelly on the patio.  What more could you ask for on a Tuesday evening?

Please visit our Facebook event page for more information or pick up the latest edition of EU Jacksonville to see a wonderful piece (that is gigantic in person… we’re talking floor to ceiling) from Chip Southworth!
