The long-awaited performance of “A Vision Awakening” is happening Sunday, June 7 at 2 p.m. Come enjoy this multi-disciplinary performance that combines original music with the spoken word in celebration of the Cummer Gardens and the St. Johns River. Participating local actors and musicians include Lee Hunter, Charlotte Mabrey, Philip Pan, Kevin Bodge, Gabriel Valla, Lis Williamson, and Lon Williamson. Each has contributed talents to this collaboration that draws inspiration from a year of direct engagement in the Cummer Gardens and research into Ninah Cummer’s writings.
