Join us this Tuesday, December 14th for a night full of exciting events.  From 4 to 9 pm guests can enjoy FREE admission to our Art Ventures Family NightBlue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Inc. has generously sponsored the evenings activities, with studio art projects, live music, demonstrating artist Hillary Hogue and fun for all ages!

On top of all this excitement we are also hosting an Evening of Youth Arts from 6 to 8 pm.  This is the fourth of our Art Ventures performance nights and will include three spectacular youth organizations from the area who will be treating the public with their wonderful vocals and choreography.  Performances include The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus, the Cathedral Arts Project, and the Jaxx Jazz Community Youth Ensemble.

With an Art Ventures grant to develop their marketing plan and expand participation, The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus now serves 400 First Coast children, from 75 area schools.

In 1993, the Cathedral Arts Project was launched by a group of individuals from St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral.  With a grant received to expand their after school arts and dance programs, they have grown from having only one class, to their current 67 twice-weekly classes serving over 1,200 children.

Jaxx Jazz Community Youth Ensemble is a community wide jazz ensemble for upper elementary and middle school students created by Jim Daniel, former Artist in Residence at Jacksonville Country Day School.  Participants are recruited from magnet programs throughout Duval County.  Jacksonville Country Day School received an Art Ventures grant to create the Jaxx Jazz Youth Ensemble.

Don’t miss this exciting evening full of entertainment and activity for the whole family, and keep a look out for two more Art Ventures performance nights, including an Evening of Film on December 21st, and an Evening of Chamber Music on December 28th.

For more information on our Art Ventures performance nights, please see our calendar of events or call 904-356-6857.
