Brick Legacy Program Sponsor Highlight: Rebecca Perry (1993-2015)

Missy and Rebecca Perry shared a love of the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens during Rebecca’s colorful and full life. Like the paintings in the galleries Becca loved, she was a vibrant, energetic, and beautiful young woman. She especially loved the Collection’s modern art, especially Andy Warhol. Mother and daughter visited the Museum together frequently and celebrated special moments here including Missy’s birthday and Becca’s nursing school graduation photo shoot. Missy chose to honor her daughter and her passion for art through the purchase of a brick on the Museum Campus. Through the Brick Legacy Program, people like Missy make a lasting commitment to culture in our community and honor those who enriched our lives. Ms. Perry recalls the impact the Museum had on her and her daughter, “We could see beautiful pieces, up close, from around the world, right here in Jacksonville.” With the permanent brick as a mark of tribute, Ms. Perry can appreciate the impact the Museum had in their lives.
