FREE TUESDAY LECTURE: The Sculpted Figure Through Time

Tuesday, February 16th | 7 p.m. | FREE

The human figure has been a long time favorite subject for artists and sculptors who used it to explore anatomy, movement, emotions. Join us for Florida Blue Free Tuesday, on February 16th and spend some time with Archipenko: A Modern Legacy, an exhibition that has been praised as one of the most comprehensive collections of works by Alexander Archipenko. Then, make your way to the Hixon Auditorium at 7 p.m. to hear from Associate Curator Nelda Damiano, Ph.D. about Archipenko’s inspirations from artists of his own generation, as well as celebrated masters such as Michelangelo, Bernini and Canova.
