Ellen Diamond: En Plein Air

The focus of this Plein Aire Workshop in the Idyllic setting in the Cummer Gardens will be to create paintings that will focus on capturing the essence of the experience using the impressionist approach to light and color. The beautiful gardens and love of nature will be the inspiration for the exciting paintings that will evolve.

A loose modernist approach will be the focus and will be demonstrated by Ellen Diamond who is a Contemporary Impressionistic painter. Her work has been influenced by Monet, Bonnard, Matisse and Cezanne. Luminous and exciting color will be stressed and will be an important element in the workshop.
