Rothko to Richter: Opening Events

In honor of the most anticipated exhibition of the year, we invite you to come celebrate the opening of Rothko to Richter: Mark-Making in Abstract Painting from the Collection of Preston H. Haskell, Organized by the Princeton University Art Museum on Thursday, January 29.

Museum Members are invited to a sneak peek of the Gallery before the show opens to the General Public from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your Membership Card for 20% off in the Cummer Shop and Cafe!

Then, from 5 to 8 p.m. doors open to both Members and Non-Members for live music with Radio Love, an art demonstration from local abstract artist Rob Middleton, small bites, and beer and wine*, with remarks by Chief Curator Holly Keris from 7 to 7:15 p.m.

PLUS – Don’t miss Docent led tours of the new exhibition starting at noon and then every hour on the hour, with the last tour at 7:15 p.m., following remarks. If you are interested in a tour, just meet in the Mason Gallery a few minutes before it starts.
