Sculpture Garden Inaugural Exhibition: Enzo Torcoletti

Sep

SG Corner with Rings croppedThe Cummer is pleased to present The Human Figure: Sculptures by Enzo Torcoletti as the inaugural exhibition in the J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Community Sculpture Garden & Plaza.

Although based in St. Augustine, Torcoletti’s work is known throughout North America and Europe.  He has many works in private and public institutions, with his most recent exhibition last month in Italy.  Torcoletti is known for his streamlined presentations of the human figure, and his work serves as a perfect complement to the other sculptures from The Cummer’s permanent collection that will find new homes in the sculpture garden.

The exhibition is comprised of eight marble, stone, and granite sculptures that will illuminate the Sculpture Garden.  A ninth piece is located to the right of the museum entrance to add an aesthetic continuity across the entire front of the museum campus.
