September 21st is going to be an exciting day at the Cummer Museum! From 10am – 4pm, we will host a Community Opening of our new open air campus, including the J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Community Sculpture Garden & Plaza, with its inaugural exhibition The Human Figure: Sculptures by Enzo Torcoletti. This opening is free for all and the will be filled with activities throughout the day.
Throughout the day, we will have Steve McDowell on steel drums, art making activities, artist demonstrations by Enzo Torcoletti, and one of a kind t-shirts by Fretto Prints printed onsite. This is also the opening of our expanded Tree Cup Café, which will be open to the public for the first time, with 40 additional seats on the outside deck. Finally, we will also be hosting two food trucks near our Art Connections entrance, Corner Taco and Le Petite Cheri Cupcakery.
From 5:30pm – 6:30pm, we will also be hosting an exclusive event for our Members, which will include Terry Thrift on guitar, beer and wine, light appetizers, and remarks from Director Hope McMath and artist Enzo Torcoletti.
