The TreeCup Cafe at The Cummer Museum

Feb

11

Perusing the Museum can work up quite an appetite. No need to fret though, it can be pleasantly satisfied at the TreeCup Café.  The TreeCup, located down the corridor from the Museum’s entrance, is operated by Chef’s Garden, a delectable catering company that also caters Cummer events.

Once serving only smoothies, teas and specialty coffee drinks, the TreeCup now offers that and much more. Fresh salads, warm sandwiches, hearty soups and decadent desserts give variety to the café’s flavorful menu. Create Your Own Masterpiece is a popular choice with the options of fresh pita with tabbouleh, hummus, turkey, or falafel served warm with lettuce, tomato, swiss, and mayo. Another option is to order the half sandwich and soup or salad combination. Half of a Roast Beef Sandwich, accompanied by the Baby Blue Salad with fresh berries, spiced pecans, mandarin oranges, baby lettuces and balsamic vinaigrette dressing, is another favorite among museum visitors.

If you are only in the mood for a snack, try the Pasta Salad or Cheese Plate from the TreeCup’s Quick Bites menu – it is sure to spice up your visit. Or, relax with a , specialty espresso drink or hot tea from Tea Forté.  The Tea Forté line is filled with innovative and delicious blends of whole leaf tea, rough-cut herbs and flowers.   It offers a completely new tea experience in both look and taste.  And don’t forget the kids!  The TreeCup is now offering PB&J served with apple slices and juice!

Make sure to keep an eye out for daily specials and selections of delicious desserts. Each week, the TreeCup offers unique desserts from cakes to cookies, chocolate covered pretzels to scones and more.

The delectable desserts began as an experiment, as the TreeCup Cafe had not previously ventured into the world of decadent delicacies.  These mouth-watering desserts have been such a hit with Museum visitors, and even employees, that they are going to start preparing a new and flavorsome variety of treats each week.

To start, recharge or end your day at the Museum, a visit to the TreeCup is a must.  For more information or to hear about the daily specials, contact the TreeCup Café at (904) 356-6857 ext. 6275.
