We’ve had doctors and lawyers (although no Indian Chiefs yet), but the Cummer Docent Corps is made up of lifelong learners with broad skills sets who want to give back to their community by leading tours at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. They go behind the scenes of exhibitions, have the opportunity to meet guest artists, and get classes in the History of Western Art and the History of Western Gardens. The new class of Docents in Training starts September 14, 2015. If you would like to learn more about joining the Cummer Docent Corps, contact Director of Education, Lynn Norris at lnorris@cummermuseum.org.
