“My work captures the rich character and personality of life. I can best describe my style as light, bright, and fun.  I look for the individual personality that makes my paintings unique. I paint mainly with oil on canvas.  Painting is my passion and my challenge, which I strive to communicate to the observer.”

Kaytee Esser is an award-winning painter whose studio works examines both the sensuality and richly varied texture of relationships. She connects with each of her subjects on a deeply personal level, capturing their essence and translating it to canvas. The interplay between line, light and color illuminates the spirit of her subjects as they relate to their surroundings and each other. Not content to restrict her work to solitary figure reflective studies, she has taken on the more challenging subject of the fascinating interaction between animals and their humans.

Kaytee Esser was raised in Southeastern Pennsylvania, near Chadds Ford. She holds a B.F.A. in Painting from Kutztown University, PA. Additional coursework includes offset press graphics and CAD. She is an accomplished Archaeological Illustrator with credentials from Temple University, the State of Delaware, Brown University, and the National Park Service in Utah. She has taught in public schools and colleges in and around North Carolina, the Hilton Head Art Academy, Bluffton Art Association, the Island Artist Association of Fernandina Beach, FL and the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, FL. Ms. Esser has also provided private workshops in Animal Portraiture, People Portraiture, Acrylic, Oil Painting, Pastel, Watercolor, and Drawing.
