Pecha Kucha Community Event Sponsored by the Up & Cummers

Written by Keith Marks, Executive Director at  PB&J

Greetings from PB&J (Party, Benefit, & Jam). We are honored to be partnering with The Cummer to present the 19th edition of the Japanese-styled presentations of fun called Pecha Kucha. However you wind up pronouncing the name, please understand that this is a community-inspired event. Presenters will get up and present on any topic they choose.

The only thing presenters need to do is to stick to the format: 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide.

We”re excited about connecting to The Cummer and having Curator Holly Keris doing a Pecha Kucha about the leo monthly horoscope – PISCES : Active expansive Leo won?t get along with timid introvert Pisces. Museum. The mission of the series is to bring community together for an evening of fun, education, and entertainment.

PB&J hosts these bi-monthly events in different locations around town. We are a local 501(c)3 that works on building community by hosting events that raise awareness and financial contributions for other local non-profits. We hope that Pecha Kucha will be invited into the community”s heart and have other cultural organizations open their spaces for building Pecha Kucha Jacksonville.

Check out our website and have a look at our Pecha Kucha Facebook page to see some past presentations. You really don’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind Jacksonville event.
