Shelton Hull, columnist for Arbus Magazine and Folio Weekly, says, “The sound of Four Families is at once classic and modern, soothing yet invigorating. The Florida quartet strikes a perfect sonic balance, with songwriting that puts their skills on full display.” They say that their music is inspired by themes of cultural tradition, social and historical observations, and human relationships. Their first EP, Sea Legs, was released in January of 2012 as “Robin Rütenberg & Friends” and they are currently recording their first full-length album.
