Join the Museum, in partnership with the City of Jacksonville’s Environmental Protection Board, for the third annual Envirofest. This is a family-friendly event centered on raising environmental awareness through the arts, education, and music. Enjoy book readings, live music, recycled art projects, tours, and much more!
SCHEDULE:
Yoga in the Gardens 10 to 11 a.m.:
Enjoy a yoga class in the upper tier of the Olmsted Garden hosted by Bailey’s Health and Fitness. Bring your own mat!
Live Music 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
Enjoy a drum circle led by Ryan Sinclair at the front of the Museum, music by Arvid Smith in the Upper Tier, and Jen Chase in the Cummer Café.
Demonstrating Artists 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
Watch Plein Air painters Christianna White and Roosevelt Watson III create paintings of the Gardens and learn about succulents from demonstrating artist Crystal Floyd.
Garden Tours:
Join Museum Docents for free Garden tours at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Each tour will begin in the Museum Lobby. Learn more about the plantings and history of the lovely historic Gardens.
All Day 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
Learn about how you can be a good steward of the environment, enjoy watching hands-on demonstrations, and participate in art activities with our partners:
